Our English-Language Fellowship offers opportunities to worship, connect, and serve in the English language.
At the center of everything we do is the Good News that Jesus Christ, God's Son came into this world as a human to live a sinless life, die as a sacrifice for our sins, and rise back to life offering resurrection and eternal life to all who believe. We believe in this news. We sing about this news. We unpack the eternal ramifications of this news in our Bible study and Sunday morning preaching.
Our English-language fellowship started as a Norwegian fellowship in 1906 and soon took the name Betania Ev Freikirche and somewhere along the way changed our language to English and our name to Bethany Evangelical Free Church. In 2025 we changed our name to Riverside Church to better represent our neighborhood.
